Who is First Choice?

At First Choice Roofing we take pride in great customer service. We offer top quality residential roofing services at competitive prices in York Region and the surrounding areas.  All of our workers are fully insured and have WSIB coverage.

First Choice Roofing is owned and operated by Steve and Cindy Tiemersma, a family business. Steve was born in the Netherlands in 1968, but moved to Newmarket, Ontario, at the age of seven with his family, to start a new life in Canada. 

Steve began his career in roofing while still in high school and established First Choice Roofing after attending Georgian College for Business Administration, in 1991. 

Steve does all of his estimates personally and will be on site while your work is being completed. This is a family business, so there won’t be any miscommunications through an extensive or unnecessarily long process.   

Today, the business has grown to include son of Steve, Gerrit Tiemersma. First Choice is a family business through and through, with plans of being around Ontario for many decades to come.
